1. Why should I hire you as a copywriter?
I listen well to briefs, get to the heart of the matter and write copy that creates an impact, fast. I am passionate about the projects I get involved in and I never miss a deadline.

2. What motivates you?
I’m a people person. I want to make a positive difference to this world. I love using the written word to help people tell their story, or to build a brand. I really enjoy working for a range of clients in the charity and corporate sectors.

3. How did you get into journalism and writing?
For as long as I can remember I have always enjoyed writing, telling stories and exploring new places. I can vividly remember writing fictional stories at school and making pretend newspapers.

I studied English Literature at University where I started writing articles for the student newspaper and local publications. I later completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism and cut my journalistic teeth as a researcher and investigative reporter for ITV West. From there I went on to write for a variety of publications.

4. What are your specialisms?
People and words, first and foremost. I have really enjoyed copywriting for charities, corporates and travel writing. I enjoy learning about new topics and I am quick to understand key messages within complex information and turn it into cool, concise copy.

5.What are you most proud of?
That’s a tough one. In my working life I am proud of myself for battling seasickness for over a month whilst embedded on a warship patrolling the Gulf of Aden, continuing to produce complex news articles about piracy, all written at sea. In my personal life I am so proud of my daughter who is just brilliant.
